LIGHT SOURCE MODULE AND OPTICAL TRANSMITTER RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve downsizing and consumption power reduction of an optical transmitter receiver by individually controlling transmission light and local oscillation light with one light source module.SOLUTION: The light source module includes: a single light source having light emitting surfaces facing to each other; a first optical amplifier and a second optical amplifier disposed adjacent to each of the light emitting surfaces at both sides of the light source; and a first monitor for monitoring an output of the first optical amplifier. An output power level of the first optical amplifier is controlled independently from the second optical amplifier on the basis of a monitoring result of the first monitor.
