<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid recovery apparatus, simply structured, which restrains outflow of mist generated by ejection of ink.SOLUTION: The liquid recovery apparatus recovers waste liquid ejected into an ejected liquid receiver comprising an absorber by preliminary ejection for recovering ejection performance of a liquid ejection head having a nozzle for ejecting ink. The ejected liquid receiver is formed in a recessed shape having an opening portion corresponding to the nozzle, and an inner wall of the ejected liquid receiver is constituted of a bottom face portion corresponding to the opening portion and a lateral face portion crossing the opening portion and the bottom face portion. The absorber is provided in the bottom face portion, and the lateral face portion is constituted of an opening region forming the opening portion and an inner region connected to the opening region and the bottom face portion, where the inner region spreads from the opening region when viewed from an ejection direction of the ink.</p> |
