PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor for making it possible to install a gas sensor in an engine room or a flow channel differing for each type of machine by using a common fixing member attachable/detachable to and from the gas sensor, and making it easy to adjusting a fitting part and a gas introduction part of a protector to a specific positional relation, the gas sensor also having excellent heat radiation ability.SOLUTION: Provided is a gas sensor 1 comprising: a detection element; a main body metal fixture 50 forming a polygon when viewed along the direction of an axis line O and having a polygon part 52; a protector 100; and an external cylinder 30 and disposed in a flow channel in which a gas to be measured flows, the gas sensor 1 being further provided with a fixing member, having a flange part attachable to the flow channel, which is a metal fixing member 200 having a polygon hole engaged with the polygon part and attachable/detachable to and from the gas sensor, the polygon hole being engaged with the polygon part 52 while the fitting angle of the polygon hole relative to the polygon part is adjusted so that the flange part and a gas introduction part 140 of the protector have a specific positional relation, whereby the fixing member 200 is secured to the main body metal fixture 50. |
