摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the refractive index of a medium using a tilted fiber Bragg grating.SOLUTION: A device (1) for detecting the temperature and refractive index of a medium (7) is provided which includes: a tilted fiber Bragg grating (4) in which portions (4c) tilted to the longitudinal direction of an optical fiber (3) and having different refractive indexes are provided in a core (4a); a measurement part (8) for measuring light passed through the core (4a) and light passed through a clad (4b); temperature detection means (C5) for detecting the temperature of the medium (7) coming in contact with the clad (4b) on the basis of the peak of the wavelength of the light passed through the core (4a); and refractive index detection means (C6) for detecting the refractive index of the medium (7) coming in contact with the clad (4b) on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature detection means (C5) and the peak of the wavelength of the light passed through the clad (4b).</p>
