PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater that can shorten boiling time.SOLUTION: An electric water heater 100 according to the present invention comprises: a bottom wall 321B; and a planar heater 322. The bottom wall comprises a curved wall part 321c. The curved wall part is curved upward in a cross sectional view. The bottom wall forms a bottom of a space for holding liquid. The planar heater is formed on a lower surface of the bottom wall. In addition, the bottom wall preferably comprises an outer edge part 321d. The outer edge part is provided on the side of an outer periphery of the curved wall part and at a position higher than an outer edge of the curved wall part. In such a case, the planar heater is preferably formed on a lower surface of the curved wall part. |
