<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when a plurality of temperature-controlled heaters in a fixing unit of an image forming apparatus are turned on/off simultaneously, voltage of an AC power supply is changed due to inrush current or abrupt reduction in current consumed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: first and second toner-fixing heaters 33, 34; a control circuit 50 which instructs a timing when an AC voltage is applied to each of the heaters; and an output circuit 49 ant triacs 46, 47 for intermittently applying the AC voltage to the first and second heaters 33, 34 on the basis of the instruction of the control circuit 50. The control circuit 50 has a voltage suppression period for limiting the AC voltage in synchronization with on/off of application timing generated based on temperature information of the heaters 33, 34, so that the voltage suppression periods to be generated for each of the first and second heaters 33, 34 may not overlap each other.</p> |
