<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering apparatus enabled to prevent leakage of a lubricant outside a housing accommodating a speed reducer even if a seal member such as O-ring is eliminated from a fitting portion of the housing.SOLUTION: An electric power steering apparatus 1 includes: a motor 40 for providing a steering mechanism of a vehicle with steering assist force; a speed reducer 48 that includes a worm 481 fixed to a rotation shaft of the motor 40 and a worm wheel 482 meshing with the worm 481, and speed-reduces an output of the motor 40; a worm housing 41 for accommodating the speed reducer 48; and a sensor housing 42 for covering an opening portion of the worm housing 41. Further, the worm wheel 482 includes a return member 49 including a cylindrical cylinder portion 491 extended from a side surface 483 on the opening portion and a flange portion 492 that is extended from one side circumferential edge on one side of the cylinder portion 491 outward in a radial direction and stops a lubricant supplied to the speed reducer from flowing out.</p> |
