PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery element for a secondary battery capable of improving positioning accuracy and work efficiency when laminating a separator and an electrode plate by devising a thermal fusion shape of separators, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A battery element 1 for a secondary battery is formed by successively laminating an electrode unit 5 which is formed by holding one of a positive electrode plate 2 and a negative electrode plate 3 between separators 4, and the other of the positive electrode plate 2 and the negative electrode plate 3. The electrode unit 5 includes a plurality of notches 9 in the outer circumference thereof and at an edge of the notch 9, a first fusing part 10 is provided which becomes a positioning reference in laminating the electrode unit 5, and in which the separators 4 are fused and bonded. |
