An optical alignment device and method. The optical alignment device comprises an alignment light source (10), a bearing mechanism (11), a light shading mechanism (12) and a transmission mechanism (13). The alignment light source (10) and the bearing mechanism (11) are arranged at an interval. The transmission mechanism (13) is used for driving the light shading mechanism (12) to ensure that when a liquid crystal substrate (20) borne on the bearing mechanism (11) is subjected to optical alignment by the alignment light source (10), the transmission mechanism (13) drives the light shading mechanism (12) to shield a first area (201) of the liquid crystal substrate (20), and the optical alignment is performed on a second area (202) of the liquid crystal substrate (20). Also provided is an optical alignment method. The optical alignment device and method improve the working efficiency and control accuracy. |
