A cradle assembly 2 for cradling a boat comprises a support 10, comprising one or more support fenders 12, one or more enclosure fenders 14 extending along opposite lengths of the support, an arrestor 20 located at one end of the support and an open-ended enclosure 4 and 6 for a boat being formed between the support, the one or more enclosure fenders and the arrestor. The one or more support fenders face into the enclosure, and the open end of the open-ended enclosure is opposite the arrestor. The support fenders, the enclosure fenders and the arrestor may be resiliently deformable while the support and enclosure fenders may be inflatable. A boat having a cradle assembly mounted thereon is also disclosed. |
