PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a battery rundown notice more accurately by performing a battery load test that reproduces the same condition at the time of an alarm indicating an abnormality, such as a fire. SOLUTION: An alarm is powered by a battery 34. An alarm processing section 70 causes an alarm sound indicating an abnormality to be output from an speaker 36 of a notification section 32 when detecting an abnormality from a detection signal from a sensor section 26. To regularly perform a battery load test, a battery test section 74 instructs a gain control section 64 to perform gain control to produce the same setting as at the time of an abnormality alarm, and detects power supply voltage supplied by the battery while an audio amplification section 62 amplifies a test signal and the speaker 36 is supplied with a drive current corresponding to that for an abnormality alarm output. A battery capacity monitoring section 76 determines a low battery fault if the battery load test performed and controlled by the battery test section 74 shows that the detected supply power voltage from the battery is lower than a predetermined value, and causes the notification section 36 to intermittently output a battery rundown notice alarm.
