PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for plating a polymer fiber material by which adhesion can be enhanced. SOLUTION: The method for plating a polymer fiber material includes: a plasma treatment stage (1) where the surface of a polymer fiber material is hydrophilized or activated; a cation treatment stage (2) where the surface of the polymer fiber material is made into a cation; a first Sn-Pd catalyst immersion stage (3) where the polymer fiber material is immersed into a colloidal solution of Pd and Sn; a first accelerator treatment stage (4) where only Pd is adsorbed and coupled to the polymer fiber material; a heat treatment stage (5) where the polymer fiber material is held to 120 to 180°C for a prescribed time; a second Sn-Pd catalyst immersion stage (6) where the polymer fiber material is immersed into a colloidal solution of Pd and Sn; and a second accelerator treatment stage (7) where only Pd is adsorbed into the polymer fiber material.
