Disclosed is a method for maintaining a template structure of an WYSIWYG based HTML editor. According to the present invention, the method for maintaining a template structure of an WYSIWYG based HTML structure includes a step (a) of displaying a template on an editing window of the WYSIWYG based HTML editor; a step (b) of determining whether damage to the template occurs when there is user input to the editing window of the WYSIWYG based HTML editor; a step (c) of determining which type among predetermined types the occurring damage correspond to as the damage to the template occurs; and a step (d) of invalidating the corresponding user input according to the determined type, recovering an element deleted by the corresponding user input, or deleting the element transformed or inserted by the user input.
