A method for operating a certificate according to the present invention, in a method for operating a certificate by the terminal of a user and a communications server, when the certificate of the user is recorded on a medium which is installed to or detachable from, or interlinks with a terminal which the user uses, m number of identification information of identifying m (m>=1) media where the certificate is recoded through the terminal is checked and stored. When the certificate use request of the user is checked, the result of certifying the validity of the media where the certificate of the user is recoded is checked by using the identification information. When the validity of the media through the identification information is certified, processed data is used by using a certificate recorded on the certified media. |
