METHOD OF INTRA PREDICTION USING ADDITIONAL PREDICTION CANDIDATE AND APPARATUS THEREOF

Disclosed are an intra-prediction method and an intra-prediction device, capable of improving accuracy of prediction using multiple prediction values. An intra-prediction method using an additional prediction candidate includes the steps of: generating a prediction value of a current pixel according to an intra-prediction mode; generating at least one prediction candidate value based on a neighboring pixel neighboring to the current pixel; and determining a final prediction value between the prediction value of the current pixel and at least one prediction candidate value to generate a residual value for the current pixel. Therefore, the method and the device of the present invention can improve accuracy of intra-prediction with the additional prediction candidate, and improve encoding efficiency by making a residual ingredient small with the improved accuracy of the intra-prediction.
