The present invention relates to a vehicle accident alarm apparatus and a broadcaster for transmitting/receiving accident alarm information. The broadcaster according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a transmitter to broadcast accident alarm information received from a vehicle accident alarm apparatus for sensing an accident expectation signal of a vehicle; and a receiver which receives broadcasted accident alarm information from another vehicle to transmit the broadcasted accident alarm information to the vehicle accident alarm apparatus. The vehicle accident alarm apparatus compares the broadcasted accident alarm information from received another vehicle with location information of the vehicle. If another vehicle is located in a forward direction, the vehicle accident alarm apparatus provides driver alarm. If another vehicle is located in a backward direction, the vehicle accident alarm apparatus discards the received accident alarm information.The accident alarm information may include broadcasted location information of another vehicle. Further, the vehicle accident alarm apparatus includes: an accident expectation sign detector to detect an accident expectation signal of a vehicle; and a controller to generate and transmit accident alarm information to the broadcaster when the accident expectation signal is detected. When accident alarm information of another vehicle is received, the controller compares the received accident alarm information with a location of the vehicle. If another vehicle is located in a forward direction, the controller alarms to a driver. If another vehicle is located in a backward direction, the controller may discard the accident alarm information. |
