A vehicle hydraulic control apparatus and a control method thereof are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the vehicle hydraulic control device includes a booster which boosts the power for pedaling of a brake pedal; a hydraulic pump which provides hydraulic pressure to a wheel cylinder, which generates brake power, based on hydraulic pressure provided from a master cylinder generating hydraulic pressure in response to the power of the booster; a traction control valve which controls hydraulic pressure between the master cylinder and the hydraulic pump; a pressure detecting unit which detects the pressure of the master cylinder; a pedal stroke detecting unit which detects pedal stroke of a brake pedal; and a control unit. The control unit calculates an auxiliary pressure, which is a difference between a target wheel cylinder pressure corresponding to detected pedal stroke and the detected pressure of the master cylinder when the booster is out of order, and turns the hydraulic pump and an electronic shuttle valve on to generate the calculated auxiliary pressure. The control unit also controls the operation of the traction valve to control the auxiliary pressure in order for the detected pressure of the master cylinder to reach the target master cylinder pressure, which corresponds to the detected pedal stroke. |
