PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve object detection accuracy.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes a detection unit and a determination unit. The detection unit detects an object included in an image. The determination unit determines positional relationship between the detected object and a shielding object area in a depth direction of the image when the detected object in the image overlaps the shielding object area. The determination unit determines the positional relationship between the detected object and the shielding object area in the depth direction of the image, on the basis of a feature quantity on at least one of the detected object and the shielding object area. |
