PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical detector capable of precisely positioning a light guiding member while simplifying assembling work.SOLUTION: In an optical detector 100, a holding member is composed of a first holding member 3 and a second holding member 4. The holding members 3 and 4 are respectively provided with engaging portions 3k and 4k for engaging a light guiding member 5, and fitting portions 3m and 4m for fixing the holding members 3 and 4 each other. In assembling, first, a substrate mounted with an optical detection element 6 for detecting light is attached to the first holding member 3. Next, a part of the light guiding member 5 is engaged with the engaging portion 3k of the first holding member 3, thereby temporarily attaching the light guiding member 5 to the first holding member 3. Then, the engaging portion 4k of the second holding member 4 is engaged with the other part of the light guiding member 5, and the fitting portion 4m of the second holding member 4 is fitted with the fitting portion 3m of the first holding member 3, thereby fixing the holding members 3 and 4 each other to clip the light guiding member 5 between the holding members 3 and 4. |
