PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect brake drug surely and facilitate setting of a determination value, for improving safety of an elevator.SOLUTION: When operation is started, in-cage load is detected as a ratio to cage rating load amount. Then, in relation to the detected in-cage load, the cage rating load amount L, a balance point BP indicating a ratio of a balance weight to the cage rating load amount, a sheave diameter D, a constant K determined by roping, and rating torque Tm of a motor, a brake drug determination value 21 is determined. Then, a torque command value 20 during normal traveling is compared with the brake drug determination value 21, for detecting the brake drug as abnormality of a brake device. |
