PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cutting a standing tree, wherein rotations of a pair of cutting blades allow the blades to generate a draw-cutting action, making of a notch into a standing tree by the blades is facilitated, cutting capacity is consequently increased, and therefore efficient cutting is enabled.SOLUTION: The device for cutting a standing tree includes a pair of right and left cutting blades (9, 9) which have a vertical relationship with each other and each of which has a curved blade (10), a pair of pivots (8, 8) arranged at an interval in an outer direction with respect to a center line of a longitudinal direction of the cutting device to attach the cutting blades rotatably around vicinities of the blade roots, and an oil hydraulic cylinder (14) for rotating the cutting blades around the pivots. By the rotations of the cutting blades, the curved blades perform the draw-cutting action on a standing tree. |
