PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a direction of a target attenuation force from becoming reverse to a direction necessary for damping vibration on a spring, and an attenuation force in the direction necessary for damping the vibration on the spring from not being generated, and to further improve the damping performance of a suspension device.SOLUTION: A suspension device 10 for a vehicle has an attenuation-force variable shock absorber 18 arranged between an upper part HA of a spring of a vehicle and a lower part LA of the spring, and a calculation control device 14 which calculates a target attenuation coefficient on the basis of a non-linear H∞ control theory. The calculation control device 14 controls the shock absorber 18 so that an attenuation force reaches a target attenuation force when a code of the target attenuation force Fdt based on the target attenuation coefficient and a code of a speed Xpb' on the spring coincide with each other, and when the two codes do not coincide with each other, the calculation control device controls the shock absorber 18 so that the attenuation force becomes the same in magnitude as a product of the speed and the target attenuation coefficient, and the codes become inverted values. |
