PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle sensor which does not require that an identifier is preliminarily assigned.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle sensor 1 which is mounted on a vehicle VE and is connected to a communication bus CAN constructed on the vehicle VE includes: a bus connection connector 40 which comprises communication external terminals T3, T4 and one or a plurality of setting external terminals T5, T6 turned into either connection state of such a first connection state so as not to be connected to any potential and of such a second connection state that none of the terminals are connected to ground potential GND and is used for connection to the communication bus CAN; discrimination parts S1 to S4, S5 to S7 for discriminating that the connection state is either of the first connection state and the second connection state with respect to each of one or the plurality of setting external terminals T5, T6; and an identifier setting part S8 for setting an identifier ID of the on-vehicle sensor 1 used on the communication bus CAN according to the connection state of one or the plurality of setting external terminals T5, T6 which are discriminated. |
