PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of reducing a shooting interval during use of an electronic front curtain, and a focal-plane shutter.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device; a control unit which artificially moves an electronic front curtain by sequentially resetting stored electric charge of the imaging device per pixel line in a prescribed direction; and a focal-plane shutter including a substrate with an opening for exposing the imaging device, a mechanical rear curtain for opening/closing the opening, a rear curtain driving lever for driving the rear curtain, an actuator for driving the rear curtain driving lever, a light-shielding member for at least partially opening/closing the opening, a light-shielding member driving lever for driving the light-shielding member, a connection member provided on the light-shielding member driving lever, and an urging member for urging the light-shielding member driving lever so as to retreat the light-shielding member from the opening. |
