PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-polar electric field emission device having a single drive power supply, and a method of driving the multi-polar electric field emission device by the single power supply.SOLUTION: A multi-polar electric field emission device having a single drive power supply includes: a cathode electrode on which one or more electric field emitters are formed; one or more gate electrodes formed between an anode electrode and the cathode electrode, and including an opening through which electrons emitted from the electric field emitter can pass; a voltage dividing part including one or more distribution resistors, dividing a voltage applied from a power supply part by the distribution resistors, and applying the divided voltages to the one or more gate electrodes; and the power supply part formed from a single power supply, and applying the voltage to the voltage dividing part. |
