Disclosed is an ophthalmic composition for a silicone hydrogel contact lens, which can prevent the deformation of a silicone hydrogel contact lens caused by the action of polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil. Specifically disclosed is an ophthalmic composition for a silicone hydrogel contact lens, which contains (A) polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil and additionally contains (B) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of chlorhexidine compounds and cyclodextrin compounds.
