PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cowl structure for an automobile, which enables a vertical wall part of a cowl member to be stably buckled in the direction of preventing a buckling direction from being sandwiched between an engine hood and a dash panel, when the vertical wall part of the cowl member is buckled by a load from an upside, input via the engine hood.SOLUTION: A cowl member 1, which is arranged among a lower end of a front window panel 4 of an automobile, a back end of an engine hood 2 and an upper end 3a of a dash panel 3, comprises a seal loading part 1c that is almost horizontally formed, a vertical wall part 1b that is almost vertically formed toward the dash panel 3, and a slope part 1d that is formed like a slope face on an oblique upside. A strength part 5 configured by protruding to the side of the engine hood 2 is formed in a valley part between the seal loading part 1c and the slope part 1d. |
