PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visible light communication apparatus capable of preventing continuous transmission of erroneous communication signal when any problem occurs and transmission data is changed.SOLUTION: The visible light communication apparatus has a control circuit 11 that modulates light intensity of illumination light output from a light source 3 to superimpose binary communication signals. The control circuit 11 includes: a memory 110 that previously stores a CRC code based on a data transmitted via a communication signal; and a CRC arithmetic unit 112 that operates the CRC code on the basis of the data. The control circuit 11 compares the CRC codes at least at start-up and performs a first processing to determine as normal when the CRC codes are identical with each other, and determine as abnormal when the CRC codes are not identical with each other. When determining as abnormal in the first processing, the control circuit 11 performs a second processing to notify the abnormality to the outside. |
