PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrode sheet and the electrode sheet capable of efficiently forming a current collector.SOLUTION: An electrode sheet includes a porous band-like body 18, and an active material filling the band-like body 18. In the band-like body 18, grooves part 26 are formed which extend in the width direction at a fixed interval in the longitudinal direction. Each groove part 26 is formed by compressing the band-like body 18 in the thickness direction and has a portion whose surface is not coated with the active material.
