PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a carrier liquid from being liquefied in an exhaust duct.SOLUTION: A wet type image forming apparatus includes: a fixing unit 30; a shield 40 covering from above a part 94 of a conveyance path 92 where a recording medium 90 is heated by the fixing unit 30; a processing mechanism 50 including exhaust ducts 51, 52 communicating with a space 48 covered by the shield 40 and sucking carrier liquid vapor vaporized from the recording medium 90 heated by the fixing unit 30 through the exhaust ducts 51, 52 to process it; and an auxiliary recovery mechanism 60 which includes a surface part 61S moving in the space 48 and condensing a part of the carrier liquid vapor vaporized from the recording medium 90 heated by the fixing unit 30 on the moving surface part 61S, to recover the condensed carrier liquid. |
