The present invention is a shock absorbing apparatus which is used to stably support a converter tilting device in ironworks. According to the present invention, the shock absorbing apparatus includes a driving motor, a plurality of speed reducers for reducing the torque of the driving motor, a bull gear which is rotated by the output terminals of the speed reducers, and a shaft which is rotated by the bull gear and is connected to both sides of a converter. Also, the shock absorbing apparatus supports a converter tilting device supported by one casing, and absorbs shocks. Further, the apparatus includes a pair of supporting parts 210 which supports the casing supporting the converter tilting device, a pair of levers 220 which are coupled with the supporting parts 210 by pins, respectively, and a pair of supporting members 262 which supports both end portions of a shock absorbing shaft 230 such that the shock absorbing shaft is rotatable. The pair of levers 220 is joined to the vicinities of the shock absorbing shaft 230, and if vertical movement of the pair of supporting parts 210 due to driving of the tilting device causes twisting of the shock absorbing shaft, and the shock absorbing shaft can absorb that. |
