Provided is an oil palm byproduct processing method in which, among byproducts including empty fruit bunches, fruit fiber residue, and wastewater that are produced as byproducts when extracting crude palm oil from the fruit bunch of an oil palm, at least the wastewater and the fruit fiber residue are mixed and dried to produce an edible substance. The processing method includes: a residue extraction step (1) in which a byproduct comprising mainly empty fruit bunches is pressed in order to extract residual crude palm oil; a concentration step (2) in which wastewater is concentrated; a mixing step (3) in which the concentrated wastewater, fruit fiber residue, and residual oil are mixed to produce a mixture; and a drying step (4) in which the mixture produced at the mixing step is dried. |
