The present invention relates to a mask stick clamping device for stretching a mask stick to weld the mask stick on a mask frame for manufacturing a flat panel display. The mask stick clamping device comprises: a support frame which is connected to a slider unit of a mask stretching system to form a tip head unit that allows a linear motion; a pair of grippers which are mounted on the support frame to grip and clamp a mask stick by a complementary operation; a stretching correcting means which is mounted in the grippers to provide the mask stick with frictional force to flow to an arbitrary plane coordinate so that a wave state can be solved in a state that the mask stick gripped by the grippers is sealed to be stretched; and a first driving unit and a second driving unit to drive the grippers and the stretching correcting means, respectively. With the above constitutions, the wave generated in the mask stick can be easily corrected and solved by the stretching correcting means when the grippers clamp and seal the mask stick to be stretched, thereby improving precision and reliability of mask stretching, and improving a quality of a light emitting layer of a large screen flat panel display by improving a welding quality of the mask frame. |
