<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device and an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing injection of air in a developing element upon starting to drive the developing element and thereby, preventing toner scattering or deposition of a carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device includes: a developing element, which supplies a two-component developer T conveyed by an air flow from a storage unit 51 to a photoreceptor 1; a supply member 63, which supplies the two-component developer to a developing roller 65 disposed opposing to the photoreceptor 1; a recovering member 64, which conveys the developer detached from the developing roller to a discharge unit 67 connected to the storage unit 51; and an opening 622 where the developer is delivered from a downstream side of the supply member 63 to the recovery member 64. Upon starting to drive the developing element while the developing roller and the image carrier (photoreceptor) 1 are stopped, conveyance of the two-component developer by an air flow from the storage unit 51 and an operation of the supply member and the recover member are started, and then rotation of the developing roller and the photoreceptor 1 is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
