An image generation system includes vertex split count setting section that performs (S2 figure 17) a split count setting process that sets a vertex split count, vertex split processing section that performs (S3 figure 17) a vertex split process to subdivide at least one polygon in a three-dimensional object using the vertex split count, vertex position calculation section that calculates (S4 figure 17) an intersection position of a projection screen and a straight line that connects a vertex position of the 3D object after the vertex split process and a position of a virtual camera, and calculates (S5 figure 17) a vertex position of a drawing object corresponding to the 3D object on a drawing buffer based on the intersection position, and drawing section that draws the drawing object on the drawing buffer based on the vertex position of the drawing object to generate a projection image. The system may reduce the distortions in an image projected onto a non-flat or curved screen. |
