<p>The unit (1) has a transfer lever (2) capturing two switching positions and cooperating with a coupling device (4) such that the coupling device is held in a trigger position in one of the switching positions of the lever. A hammer armature system (5) actuates the transfer lever during current flow at a signal flow path and triggers the transfer lever during interruption of the current flow. The lever is guided in a control curve of a control part (7) such that the lever is held in the two switching positions during successive actuations of the transfer lever.</p>
