WIRELESS BODY SENSOR DEVICE AND TRANSMISSION POWER CONTROL METHOD

A wireless body sensor device and a transmission power control method thereof are disclosed. The transmission power control method comprises the steps of: measuring a first received signal strength indication (RSSI) value according to data transmission and reception with another wireless body sensor device; determining a channel state using the first RSSI value; increasing or decreasing a transmission power level according to the channel state; measuring a second RSSI value according to an increase or decrease of the transmission power level; determining whether a change in the RSSI value according to a change in the transmission power level is valid using the first and second RSSI values; and exponentially adjusting the transmission power level when the change in the RSSI value is valid.
