A method of instructing a user to generate a two-dimensional (2D) representation of a three-dimensional (3D) spatial arrangement of a room, comprising the steps of providing a display medium 100 and one or more instructions 104 on a portion thereof, representing in plan a floor plan 112 of the room, representing in elevation the elevation of one or more of the walls 116 of the room, and representing in plan and in elevation the relative location of features of the room on the floor plan and on the elevation of the walls, wherein the elevation of the or each wall is generally arranged relative to the floor plan of the room such that the representation of the or each wall generally aligns with an edge of the representation of the floor plan of the room to which the or each wall corresponds in its three-dimensional (3D) spatial arrangement. Also provided are a method of generating such a representation, and a method of designing a kitchen. |
