The present invention relates to an antibacterial composition containing a Streptomyces sp. 3E-1 strain and a culture medium thereof as active ingredients. In particular, a novel Streptomyces sp. 3E-1 strain isolated from wild Conyza Canadensis or a culture medium thereof exhibits significant antibacterial and antifungal activities and significantly generates trimethoprim which is known as an existing antibiotic material. Accordingly, the novel Streptomyces sp. 3E-1 strain or the culture medium thereof can be usefully used as an active ingredient for an antibacterial or antifungal composition.
