摘要 The invention relates to a method for the preparation of a friction modifier in lubricating oils, in which the reagents are waste glycerol from the production of biodiesel and oleic acid at a mass ratio of 1-1.5:1, with the use of catalysts in an amount between 1 and 7% - tetra-octyl titanates, applied in the synthesis of synthetic lubricating oils, and of a new type of zeolite – zinc succinide/aluminosilicate, obtained by a method described in a patent application of the Republic of Bulgaria. The modifier is prepared by esterification at temperatures below 200оС. Samples of friction modifiers were obtained, that have been established to improve the anti-wear properties of the base oil by approximately 35%, without negative side effects.
