CANISTER-TYPE THRUSTER

A canister-type thruster is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the canister-type thruster comprises: a canister lifted inside a trunk of a hull or a floating structure; a lifting device for lifting the canister; and a guide device for guiding the lifting of the canister. The lifting device comprises: a rack gear lengthily installed on the outer surface of the canister in a lifting direction; pinion gears installed in the trunk and engaged with the rack gear; and a lifting driving part having a driving source for driving the pinion gears. The rack gear comprises: a main tooth part engaged with the pinion gears for a lifting motion; and an access guiding tooth part arranged in one end initially engaged with the pinion gears, and having a pitch line inclined with respect to the pitch line of the main tooth part.
