PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide monoclonal antibodies having opsonic phagocytic killing activity against at least two different Staphylococcus species, and against at least three different strains of Staphylococcus aureus.SOLUTION: Described are human monoclonal antibodies specifically binding to staphylococci and having killing activity against staphylococci, nucleic acids encoding the binding molecules, compositions comprising the binding molecules and methods of identifying or producing the human binding molecules. The binding molecules can be used in the diagnosis, prophylaxis and/or treatment resulting from staphylococci. |
