<p>Provided are a diffractive multifocal lens with a new structure and a fabrication method thereof, whereby it is possible to form a plurality of foci, to carry out an elucidation of the mechanism thereof with an objective of a reducing haloing or blurred vision, and on the basis of knowledge obtained thereby, to reduce a peak optical amplitude intensity in a sideband region of an image plane, improving viewing. In the diffractive multifocal lens, a zone is formed as a cancellation region which applies an amplitude distribution which reduces in an offsetting manner a sideband which is considered to be a primary cause of haloing or blurred vision in one focus of the image plane.</p> |
