PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of an excessive contact pressure and to promote downsizing in a female terminal comprising an elastic arm for contact to a male terminal.SOLUTION: A female terminal comprises a first arm and a second arm. The first arm includes a first wall part, in a rising state, which is bent at one side edge of a bottom wall of a housing in a rectangular box shape, and a second wall part which is folded in an L shape with respect to the first wall part. The first arm extends from the first wall part in a direction of inserting/ejecting a male terminal and includes a contact part. The second arm extends from the second wall part along the first arm. End portions of both the arms in a direction of extension are connected by an L-shaped connection piece. The outside of the second arm is covered by a fourth wall part belt from a third wall part rising from another side edge of the bottom wall, and the first arm is opened. Even under considerable displacement, any excessive contact pressure is not generated, plating can be prevented from being exfoliated, a dimension of the female terminal in a width direction can be reduced and a compactification of a connector can be promoted. |
