A backlight module (100) and a liquid crystal display device with the backlight module (100). The backlight module comprises: an ambient light collector (110) which is used for collecting outside ambient light; an optical fibre (121) which is connected to the ambient light collector (110), wherein an out-light angle is expanded by cutting an out-light end (122) of the optical fibre (121); an optical fibre out-light plate (150) which is placed adjacent to an optical plate (160) and comprises a through hole (151); a fixed sleeve (140) which is fixedly arranged in the through hole (151); and an optical fibre sleeve head (130) which is fixedly arranged in the fixed sleeve (140) and is connected with the out-light end (122) of the optical fibre (121) in a sleeved manner, so as to fix the optical fibre (121) on the optical fibre out-light plate (150). The backlight module (100) can use the ambient light as a backlight light source of the backlight module (100), and enables the out-light angle of light emitted from the out-light end surface of the out-light end (122) to be effectively expanded by cutting the out-light end (122) of the optical fibre (121), thereby greatly reducing the occurrence of the phenomenon of non-uniform brightness and darkness in the backlight module (100) and improving the optical quality of the backlight module (100). |
