PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a photocatalyst body obtained by forming a more uniform photocatalyst film on a carrier surface using a three-dimensional body through the inside of which a fluid such as air and water can be passed as a carrier, and to provide a photocatalyst body.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a photocatalyst body which comprises: a step of preparing a transparent three-dimensional body; and a step of forming a photocatalyst film on a surface of the three-dimensional body using an atomic layer deposition method. By this method, a surface area on which a photocatalyst reaction occurs can be increased.
