ADAPTIVE STREAMING IN A COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A method and apparatus for handling adaptive streaming data towards a mobile station. A mobile service proxy node receives (S4) Media Descriptor (MD) data relating to an adaptive media streaming session towards the mobile station. It adapts (S7) the MD data and sends (S8) the adapted MD data towards the mobile station. This allows adaptation of the MD by a network node, and so allows the control of streaming media to take account of factors such as network conditions.
