<p>A heat pump system disclosed in the present specification is provided with the following: a heat pump unit having a heat pump for heating a heat medium by absorbing heat from outside air; a tank unit having a tank for holding the heat medium; an auxiliary heating source unit for heating the heat medium; an outside air temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of outside air; and a heater provided to a circulation path in which the heat medium circulates between the tank and the heat pump. The heat pump system can execute a freeze-prevention operation in which, in order to prevent freezing of the heat medium, the heat medium is heated while the heat medium is circulated between the tank and the heat pump. In the freeze-prevention operation, if the outside air temperature is high, the heat medium is heated by the heat pump, and if the outside air temperature is low, the heat medium is heated by the heater.</p> |
