PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leukocyte recognition device provided with a leukocyte recognition means for recognizing quantity of leukocytes for every lapse of certain time based on collapse extent (extent of oldness) of the leukocytes in order to monitor quantity of the leukocytes accompanied by time lapse from microscopic image. SOLUTION: The leukocyte recognition device comprises: a means for recognizing leukocytes by using a leukocyte recognition means and a time factor recognition means; and the time factor recognition means for recognizing a signal from each means that recognizes quantity of time series on leukocytes, and supporting determination of nature, extent, etc. of inflammation, such as single infection, single superinfection, and persistent infection, thereby diagnosing periodontosis.
