PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article supporting shelf which can obtain a stable and strong mounted state. SOLUTION: A shelf board supporting fixture A is formed by turnably connecting a pad member 10 to one end of an expanding/contracting member 30 and by freely rotatably connecting the pad member 10 to an end of a screw shaft freely slidably inserted into the other end of the expanding/contracting member 30. The shelf board supporting fixture A is put between opposing wall faces, with the end of the expanding/contracting member 30 pressurized by the transfer in the axial direction through the rotation of a pressurizing nut 51 threadedly engaged on the screw shaft, and with the pair of pad members 10 pressed against the wall faces. Then, by a reaction force imparted from the wall face W to the pair of pad members 10, the expanding/contracting member 30 is resiliently deformed in an arch shape. After the shelf board supporting fixture A is mounted, the shelf board member B is freely vertically supported with a guide rod 60 held in the lower end. The lower center of the shelf board member B is supported with the shelf board supporting fixture A resiliently deformed in an arch shape, thereby contriving stabilization of the shelf board member B.
